QUALITY CONTROL SPECIALIST

Responsibilities:
  • Perform job trafficking and quality control functions for printed materials
  • Document information such as job specifications, job status, and billing details as required
  • Interpret client change order instructions from client notes, layouts, and phone conversations
  • Manage delivery and shipping functions
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service in dealing with and responding to issues
  • Meet or exceed established Production goals and those of the company as a whole
Experience & Skills required
  • Required: three or more years in related trafficking and quality control role
    Preferred: Five or more years in related trafficking and quality control role
  • Required: High school or equivalent
    Preferred: Bachelors degree in related field
  • Knowledge of retail advertising
  • Ability to build client relationships
  • Knowledge of production equipment and specifications
  • Ability to document information such as job specifications, job status, and billing details
  • Skill in quality control techniques and processes
  • Skill in managing job traffic, delivery, and shipping functions
  • Skill in shift scheduling
  • Ability to interpret client change order instruction from client notes, layouts, and phone conversations
  • Ability to work fast, efficiently, and with attention to detail in a high-volume, tight deadline environment
  • Ability to balance the demands of multiple departments and work well with others
  • Ability to read, write, and orally communicate clearly on business topics in English

COLOR SPECIALIST - PRE-MEDIA SERVICES

Responsibilities:

QUALITY:
  • Prepare files for print to specifications with detail-oriented high quality.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Strong quality control skills.
TIME MANAGEMENT:
  • Ability to prioritize and process orders in fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be good at multi-tasking and adaptable to technological, procedural and schedule changes.
  • Must be able to work late hours and occasional weekends.
COMMUNICATION:
  • · Ability to listen and communicate clearly with client, vendors and co-workers (especially Account Mangers and QC).
Experience & Skills required
  • 2-5 years experience performing color correction in the commercial print/pre-press industry
  • Expert in Photoshop - color correction, photo retouching, creating smooth shadows, detailed silhouettes, image manipulation, file conversions, masking, and trapping.
  • Expert Color Correction Specialist - strong eye for color and detail, product and swatch matching, working from marked-up proofs.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Mac OSX platform, Quark, In Design, Illustrator
  • Experience in operating proofing devices and ability to handle/lift proofing substrate.

ACCOUNT MANAGER, CSR - PRE-MEDIA SERVICES

Responsibilities:

QUALITY:
  • Top-notch customer service must be your highest priority at all times.
  • Coordinate the preparation of files for print to specifications with detail-oriented high quality.
  • Strong proofreading and quality control skills. Understanding of color correction, able to interpret a marked-up proof and verify that instructions were executed correctly.
TIME MANAGEMENT:
  • Excellent time manager, well organized, ability to prioritize and plan orders in fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Adaptable to technological, procedural and schedule changes.
  • Must have a flexible schedule, on call 24 hours, able to work late hours and occasional weekends.
COMMUNICATION:
  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly with client, vendors and coworkers
  • Strong written communications skills.
  • Ability to negotiate with clients, diffuses conflicts, and provide solutions.
Experience & Skills required
  • 2-5 years experience performing customer service in the commercial print/pre-press industry
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, QuarkXpress, Mac OSX platform
